Last weekend we (all the family)spent the weekend at La Cabanya (my parents place, where I grew up, thank goodness it's only a 15 minute drive away that I can visit often) fixing up the vege garden.
Mum Loves her vege garden, dad just likes to potter, but it's getting to be a bit hard on the old backs, (they're no spring chickens ;-) So my brother put his foot down, and along with everyone's help built raised garden beds!! The vege garden is all fenced in, out in the back paddock, the cow's aren't too pleased, neither are the birds, but we love it and reap the benefits.
3 beautiful beds waiting to be filled
With my son, daughter and niece, we cleaned and sorted out the strawberries, now we have 80 new plants, Can't wait till summer for those juicy berries
I love this Brush Fence. I walk past it most mornings, it's just down the road a bit. This particular morning a very cheeky Kookaburra was sitting there, checking out brekkie no doubt. I stopped a reasonable distance away to take my photo, then walked closer, he just sat there, so took a photo of him right in front of me, kept walking, took another photo. So kind of him to pose for me :-)
Not sure if these people were too happy when their huge pine tree took out the fence, and blocked the highway in both directions from 7.30 in the morning till mid afternoon. It was a very windy morning and we've a fair bit of rain.
A lot of people were very late for work, school appointments etc, including me!! But the boss is used to it ;-)
Two Saturdays ago, I went out for my usual morning walk, only to find some mean person/people literally ripped our front fence out!! Not happy. All fixed now, thank goodness they didn't do too much damage.
